Do you know that there's a big difference between happiness and joy. Before I thought happiness and joy are the same.
Last night, we have a fellowship and there are so many words the Lord have given to us, one of this is the difference between Happiness and Joy.
Happiness is the emotion that we feel when we can attain something or when we are successful of something. It depends mostly on how we feel. We are happy because we receive something.
Whereas, Joy is not just a feeling. It is an innermost strength that comes from the Holy Spirit. It is the stability of your soul and spirit that in whatever tribulations that you face Joy is there. Joy is the gift of the Holy Spirit for us.
"....the fruit of the (Holy) Spirit, the works which His presence within accomplishes is Love, Joy(gladness), Peace, Patience and even temper(forbearance), Kindness, Goodness, Benevolence, Faithfulness." (Galatians 5:22)
