what makes HIM cry?

As I read the shoutout of one of my friends at friendster where it says, "we shall be changed in the twinkling of an eye." (1 Cor. 15:51-52), the wisdom the Lord has given me was that we are all "OJT's"(on the job training) for the ultimate purpose of why we are here on earth, we are created for Christ and in the twinkling of an eye we shall be change when Jesus return. We must do our part 'cause it is His purpose that nothing shall perish.

I was reminded that I have to take good care of my relationship with Christ everyday of my life. There are many distractions and diversions here but a true Christian must remain standing even he/she is in the midst of chaos. Some say, I'm not perfect, others say I'm only human but I say hey, when i accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour i have the responsibility to make that fact consistent. Through the Holy Spirit i have the strength of God in me that will make me persevere and pursue the path that the Lord has showed me to walk.

Sometimes, i took for granted what the Lord has given me-the Life everlasting but through the Holy Spirit, he made me repent and realized that God loves me very much, that He gave His life for me and it makes HIM cry if i am out of the way. Lord, thank you for always guiding and preserving me. Thank you for all the love that you have showered upon me. I cannot give anything in return because you are God you have everything but inspite of that I pray that i will give my all to you.

I read a book "I saw heaven" by Roberts Liardon, there was a part that shows how He truly love His people and how it makes Him cry when people is having that UNBELIEF attitude when it comes to believing His word. It says there: "...i love my people so much that i would go back to earth, preach my 3 years over again, and die for just one person. if i had not already paid the price for them, and if i thought they wanted to come to heaven, i would do it all over again. i would not have to know they would make it. if i just thought they wanted to come, i would do it for them, even if they were the greatest sinner of all. He kept saying, i love my people so much. why do people not take me at my word? do they not know that i have all power in heaven and on earth to back up what I said? it is so easy. i made it so simple. if people would just take Me at My Word, I will do what I said. I do not understand why people say they believe I will do something, but when it does not happen in their time, they begin to doubt my Word. if they will just believe and say with confidence that I will do it, I will do it at the correct time."

i was really blessed reading it. let us start believing His Word Today!!! God bless to all! Have a great day!

NICE SHOTS!!!!

ART is the process or product of deliberately and creatively arranging elements in a way that appeals to the senses or emotions, especially beauty. In its narrow sense, the word art most often refers specifically to the visual arts, including media such as painting, sculpture, and printmaking. However, "the arts" may also encompass a diverse range of human activities, creations, and modes of expression, including music and literature.

On the other hand, ART is a gift from God. God is the perfect artist of all. Just looking at His creation you can truly say that there is a God who made this things.

Here are some nice shots from my friend eduard. He has a gift in photography and it is also his hobby. I always admired his gift. Thanks duard!!!

THE FIRST WORKSHOP IN CEBU

Last Saturday (November 15), we started our first session here in Cebu at Cambridge School, Nivel Hills, Lahug, Cebu City. Aeryk, Daryl, Shan, Charles and Benjamin were there together with their parents. Therapists from Build Abilities (www.buildabilities.multiply.com), teacher Niño and teacher Vince, volunteers and Jacque Limtin were also there.

The kids played several games, mostly the foundational skills like scarf games, if you're happy and you know it song, i spy with my little eye and obstacle course.

Scarf games, this activity uses the scarf or a similar object such as a light tissue or a handkerchief. It encourage the child to follow the movement of the scarf with his/her head and eyes. The scarf is drop from above and encourage the child to catch the scarf with his/ her hand, head, elbow or foot.

Here are some pictures of the kids playing the scarf games:

If you're happy & you know it, this activity is done by singing the popular song “if you're happy and you know it, clap your hands...” and by replacing the “clapping your hands” phrase with other actions like stomp your feet, shake your body or tap you head. This activity encourages the child to perform the action of the song.

Pictures of the group singing the song:

"......and you know it...."

I spy with my little eye, this activity is done by using floor markers, cones, bean bags, balls or any colorful objects. First, a player calls out an object in the room that is visible then everyone raises to the object by walking, running or crawling. Next, is to call a feature of an object in the room like its color or shape.

Coach Kaye Samson

Below is an article about Coach Kaye Samson written by Kathy Smallwood:

Special Olympics Philippines head coach Kaye Samson, 27, laughed as she confessed that as a teenager, when she saw the movie Rain Man, she was fascinated by the portrayal of the character with intellectual disability, and she knew then that it was her calling. “Working with people with intellectual disabilities became my mission and I was passionate about it.” She followed through with it and became a special education teacher.

She got involved with Special Olympics four years ago and has become a powerhouse for the organization. As head coach of the country's first World Games badminton team, she had to learn the sport and with characteristic determination set about to teach herself and her four-member team everything they needed to know. To get proficient, they trained every day for nine months, from 6-9 a.m. before school started. Samson had to get up even earlier to prepare and bring breakfast and snacks for the team.

She related that one of her players was so poor that on a Monday during practice, she stopped in the middle of the session because her stomach hurt. The young woman had not eaten since the team's breakfast the Friday before. “This player was so thrilled to be on the team, she never missed one practice, even when she was tired, sick or hungry, Samson marveled.

Although Samson never mastered any one sport, she had high hopes. “I dreamed of being in the Olympics when I was a small girl,” she said. Her love of sports has been fully realized in Special Olympics. “For me, Special Olympics is God's gift, and it's a much better blessing to be able to help others reach their dreams,” she remarked.

Samson says emphatically Special Olympics makes a difference in the lives of athletes. “It teaches them discipline and confidence.” She said parents were surprised that their children jumped out of bed before dawn without help to ensure they got themselves to practice on time. “I constantly visit schools and urge them to have their students join Special Olympics.”

An added benefit to Special Olympics for one of her players is Special Olympics Healthy Athletes®. The athlete is 70 percent deaf, and at the 2003 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Ireland, he got a hearing aid and was finally able to hear. “It changed his whole personality. He couldn't stop smiling. He could finally talk to his friends. Most importantly, he could hear what his coach was telling him!”

Samson has spent some of her own money to help get the team to World Games, and then rounded up sponsors to cover the rest of the expenses.

When you are good at what you do, you're often singled out to do even more. Samson's next challenge is to pilot the movement's Young Athletes initiative for 2-7 year olds in the Philippines.

If you want to measure passion and commitment, Kaye Samson's life pretty well sums it up.

Happiness vs. Joy

Do you know that there's a big difference between happiness and joy. Before I thought happiness and joy are the same.

Last night, we have a fellowship and there are so many words the Lord have given to us, one of this is the difference between Happiness and Joy.

Happiness is the emotion that we feel when we can attain something or when we are successful of something. It depends mostly on how we feel. We are happy because we receive something.

Whereas, Joy is not just a feeling. It is an innermost strength that comes from the Holy Spirit. It is the stability of your soul and spirit that in whatever tribulations that you face Joy is there. Joy is the gift of the Holy Spirit for us.

"....the fruit of the (Holy) Spirit, the works which His presence within accomplishes is Love, Joy(gladness), Peace, Patience and even temper(forbearance), Kindness, Goodness, Benevolence, Faithfulness." (Galatians 5:22)

Who's your Daddy?

Today, i opened my email and a fellow of mine send a forwarded message that blessed me. maybe you received the same message but i just want to share it with you 'cause some of us rarely read our forwarded messages. here it goes.....

A seminary professor was vacationing with his wife in Gatlinburg, TN. One morning, they were eating breakfast at a little restaurant, hoping to enjoy a quiet, family meal. While they were waiting for their food, they noticed a distinguished looking, white-haired man moving from table to table, visiting with guests. The professor leaned over and whispered to his wife, "I hope he doesn't come over here." But sure enough, the man did come over to their table. "Where are you folks from?" he asked in a friendly voice. "Oklahoma," they answered. "Great to have you here in Tennessee," the stranger said. "What do you do for living?" "I teach at a seminary," he replied. "Oh, so you teach preachers how to preach, do you? Well, I've got a really great story for you." And with that, the gentleman pulled up a chair and sat down at the table with the couple. The professor groaned and thought to himself, "Great, just what i need...another preacher story!" The man started, "See that mountain over there?(pointing out the restaurant window). Not far from the base of that mountain, there was a boy born to an unwed mother. He had a hard time growing up, because every place he went, he was always asked the same question, "Hey boy, who's your daddy?" Whether he was at school, in the grocery store or drug store, people would ask the same question, "Who's your daddy?" He would hide at recess and lunchtime from other students. He would avoid going into stores because that question hurt him so bad. When he was about 12 years old, a new preacher came to his church. He would always go in late and slip out early to avoid hearing the question, "Who's your daddy?"

But one day, the new preacher said the benediction so fast that he got caught and had to walk out with the crowd. Just about the time he got to the back door, the new preacher, not knowing anything about him, put his hand on his shoulder and asked him, "Son, who's your daddy?" The whole church got deathly quiet. He could feel every eye in the church looking at him. Now everyone would finally know the answer to the question , "Who's your daddy?" This new preacher, though, sensed the situation around him and using discernment that only the Holy Spirit could give, said the following to that scared little boy.."Wait a minute! I know who you are! I see the family resemblance now. You are a child of God."

With that he patted the boy on his shoulder and said, "Boy, you've got great inheritance. Go and claim it." With that the boy smiled for the first time in a long time and walked out the door a changed person, He was never the same again. Whenever anybody asked him, "Who's your Daddy?" he'd just tell them, I'm a Child of God."

The distinguished gentleman got up from the table and said, "Isn't that a great story?" The professor responded that it really was a great story!

As the man turned to leave, he said, "You know, if that new preacher hadn't told me that I was one of God's children, I probably never would have amounted to anything!" And he walked away.

The seminary professor and his wife were stunned. He called the waitress over and asked her, "Do you know who that man was, the one who just left that was sitting at our table?" The waitress grinned and said, "Of course. Everybody here knows him. That's Ben Hooper. He's the former governor of Tennessee!"

Great story!!! Hope you are blessed!

"The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of God stands forever" (Isaiah 40:2

"and if we are His children then we are His heirs also; heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ sharing His inheritance with Him; only we must share His sufferings if we are to share His glory" (Romans 8:17)

"...to all who believe Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God" (1 John 1:12)

Live simply, Love generously, Care deeply, Speak kindly, Leave the rest to God!

CHANGE

They say change is the constant thing in this world.

TRUE or FALSE? Well, decide for yourself. As for me, below are the lists of my observations concerning the word CHANGE:

As to TECHNOLOGY:
it's obvious, it is fast changing. Cellphones, computers, etcetera, is really moving to a high-level every minute. If you buy a cellphone today simultaneously there's also another innovations of a higher technology than the one you bought and after less than a year or more your cellphone will be outdated.

As to our CULTURE:
hahaha, i think its a little bit slow. Last night at Starbucks, Ayala after having dinner with Prof. Domondon and his wife, together with my colleagues, Atty. Zigfred Diaz(www.zdiaz.com), Atty. Louella Matsumoto and soon to be lawyer Nolito Dayanan, (members of the paretonites-www.lexparetonotes.blogspot.com), talked about our culture. We are under so many countries, like Spain for 300 years, Americans for 100 years, and etcetera, results are that Filipinos have different attitudes. What are those, it's time to review your history...hehehe. Anyway, the big question is, IS IT TIME TO CHANGE, HOW?

As to our JUSTICE SYSTEM:
they say, justice delayed is justice denied. How are we progressing, in our justice system?
There are different scenarios here. First as a law student, we are taught to follow the law for us to pass the bar. Second as a lawyer, are we following the law? Some say, oh new lawyers are very idealistic, they always want to do what's right,(then why are we here, for me it's because we want to do right, RIGHT? Haha, it's confusing). They say, just go with the flow anyway they are doing it also and they are successful, are they until when? I remember what one of the famous Professor said, “Let them be who they are because if you oppose them your the one who will suffer (i think they are many...hehehe...gets?), just don't join them so that the result will be minus one[you], (that's right the one-you, go and multiply), sooner or later the crooked will be outnumbered (question is WHEN). He also said, i always believe in karma. (it's also written “What you sow is what you reaped”). Which side are you?

As to our PERSONAL LIFE or should we say our ATTITUDES:
some asked, why do we need to change ME, what for? They are the ones whose doing the wrong thing so why should i change. Sounds familiar, it's like just in the garden of eden, when Jesus said to Adam and Eve, why do you eat the fruit of the tree that i command you not to eat and Adam said, it's Eve the woman you gave me, and then Eve said, no it's because the serpent tempt me...hehehe...pointing fingers. Do we have that kind of attitude? I think so, we inherited it from them unless we repented from it and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. It is washed away when Jesus said on the cross, it is finished. Does it sounds corny, no don't think so, it's sounds right. What do you think?

Enough of the As to's, there are many to mention. My point is we have to change. If we want to live a peaceful and happy life let's advocate change and it will start from each one of us. There are many ways to change but let's choose THE RIGHT WAY and pray for wisdom how to apply it. It's time to walk what we talk.

Whats your point?
